- short clips of the voices from the interviewee's regarding the subject of the documentary, primarily sharing their views and/or opinions.
- the narrator from the documentary talking a little bit about what the documentary is mainly about.
- the narrator sometimes asking rhetorical questions about the subject.
- music that is either used within the documentary to act as a 'theme tune'- when people hear it they will link the two media products (the documentary and the radio trailer) or music that relates to the subject of the documentary.
- the narrator stating the title, the tagline and the date and time at the end of the documentary so people know what it is, when it is and the time its on.
